From a small kitchen in Atlixco to Mechanic Street
We grew up in a house where the kitchen was always full — of people, of noise, and above all, of food that took time. Our abuela didn't measure ingredients. She measured by feel, by memory, by the stories her own mother had told her.
When we came to Freehold, we carried those memories with us. We didn't want to create something new. We wanted to recreate something that almost felt like home. That's what you get when you sit at our table — not a performance, not an experiment. Just real food, made the way it's always been made.
The best restaurants don't invent traditions — they keep them alive.
